Student Auditions for Winds of WisconsinAudition date: September 27, 1:00-6:00 pmStudents will prepare a solo or an etude that demonstrates their musicianship and technical facility through contrasting tempos and styles. An accompanist is not necessary. Five minutes maximum. Students will be asked to play two major scales of the judges' choice, as well as a chromatic scale, to demonstrate range and facility. Sightreading will be provided. Percussionists should prepare excerpts for two of the following three instruments: mallets ,timpani, and/or snare.
