UW-Madison Summer Session, May 29–Aug. 26, 2012

The summer term offers opportunities for
NONDEGREE (University Special or Guest) students who are:
- Visiting from another college or university and want to pick up a class before returning to their home institution
- Professionals who want to brush up on a skill in a short course (ex. teachers, human services personnel, engineers, or business people)
- Considering or in the midst of a career change
- Wisconsin seniors 60 and older, who want to audit a lecture class for free
CURRENT UW-Madison degree students who want to:
- Finish a degree sooner
- Take a special program available only in the summer
- Study elsewhere in the U.S. and in Canada, Latin America, or around the world
The summer term offers variety and innovation
- More than 1,000 credit classes are available in 90 sessions of varying lengths including these popular sessions:
Three-Week Early Session, May 29-June 17
Eight-Week General Session, June 18-August 12
- Innovative programs including University Summer Forums free to the public for no credit, a variety of credit classes for teachers and other professionals, and noncredit classes for people of all ages.

- UW-Madison continuing students: Enroll in summer as you would for fall or spring terms, beginning in late March. For enrollment deadlines see Registrar's page.
