Integrated Student Information System (ISIS) glossary of terms
ACADEMIC CAREER: A grouping of all academic work taken by a student that is grouped into a single student record (undergraduate career, graduate career, professional school career).
ACADEMIC PROGRAM: The entity within an institution to which a student applies, is admitted, and graduates (formerly classification).
ACADEMIC PLAN: A course of study a student must follow to receive a degree (formerly a major, minor, or concentration).
ACADEMIC LEVEL: A student's year in school.
ENROLLMENT: Formerly referred to as registration. (Students ENROLL for classes.)
TERM: Enrollment will be for summer, fall, or spring TERMS (not semesters).
SESSION: Terms will be made up of sessions.
