Areas of expertise: Program evaluation
Provide training in conducting program evaluations for program development, grant and funding requirements, and meeting accreditation standards. Training topics include: elements of program evaluation, writing measurable goals and objectives, types of measurement tools, and evaluation designs.
Trainings can be tailored to meet the specific needs of agencies or programs.
Mental health and human services administrators, program managers, and direct service providers.
Jim Campbell, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Professional Development and Applied Studies. Dr. Campbell has worked as a social worker in Arizona and Minnesota, and was an assistant professor in the graduate social work program at the University of Minnesota—Duluth prior to coming to Madison. He has both taught and published in the areas of evaluation and measurement for human service workers. He has worked with man human service agencies as a consultant, instructing agencies on implementing evaluation designs, and as an evaluator himself.
The Department of Professional Development & Applied Studies is a part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies.
