About Credit

Credit is awarded after full-day participation. Partial credit is not awarded; late arrivals or early departures preclude awarding CE credits.

CEUs:

The University of Wisconsin–Madison defines one (1.0) continuing education unit (CEU) as ten hours of participation in an organized continuing education event under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. For example: 1.2 CEUs equals 12 hours of continuing education credit.

Social Workers

The University of Wisconsin–Madison, Professional Development and Applied Studies (PDAS), (Provider #1042), is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), (1-800-225-6880) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. PDAS maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers will receive continuing education clock hours for completing this course (see above for appropriate number of continuing education clock hours). Counselors, Sexuality Educators, and Therapists

The University of Wisconsin–Madison, Professional Development and Applied Studies (PDAS), is an approved continuing education provider through the National Board for Certifi ed Counselors (provider # 5990). UW-Madison PDAS is recognized by the National Board of Certifi ed Counselors to offer continuing education for National Certifi ed Counselors. We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists - just got approved.

Wisconsin Marriage and Family Therapists

This conference qualifies as an accredited university continuing education course relevant to professional practice.

Play Therapy

The University of Wisconsin–Madison, Professional Development and Applied Studies, is approved by the Association for Play Therapy to offer continuing education specifi c to play therapy (provider #01-113). PDAS maintains responsibility for the program. The sessions approved for play therapy hours are #3, #28, and #38.
