About Credit

Credit is awarded after full-day participation. Partial credit is not awarded; late arrivals or early departures preclude awarding CE credits.

CEUs:

The conference is approved for 6.0 CE hours per day (0.6 CEU/day).

The University of Wisconsin-Madison defines one (1.0) continuing education unit (CEU) as ten hours of participation in an organized continuing education event under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. For example: 1.2 CEUs equals 12 hours of continuing education credits.

Social Workers

The University of Wisconsin–Madison, Professional Development and Applied Studies (PDAS), (Provider #1042), is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), (1-800- 225-6880) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. PDAS maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers will receive continuing education clock hours for completing this course (see above for appropriate number of continuing education clock hours). Counselors, Sexuality Educators, and Therapists

UW-Madison PDAS is an approved continuing education provider through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) (provider #5990) and is recognized by NBCC to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines.

Wisconsin Marriage and Family Therapists

This conference qualifies as an accredited university continuing education course relevant to professional practice.

Play Therapy

The University of Wisconsin–Madison, Professional Development and Applied Studies is approved by the Association for Play Therapy to offer continuing education specific to play therapy (provider #01-113). PDAS maintains responsibility for the program. The sessions approved for play therapy hours are: 4, 12, 19, 23, 27, 31, 35, 38 and Plenary Session presented by Bruce Perry and Eliana Gill.
