Refunds
Cancellation policy: If you are unable to participate in a group class or arrange for a substitute, you may obtain a refund minus the $20 administrative fee by contacting our registration department at least 3 business days prior to the program. If you cancel 3 business days or less before the program, or do not participate, you are responsible for the entire fee. To cancel or arrange for a substitute, please call 800-725-9692. No refund is given for cancellation of an Independent Study class. Exceptions to this policy will be determined by CPM program staff on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation of classes
Noncredit classes are cancelled if other classes on the UW-Madison
campus are cancelled due to weather or other emergencies. Madison-area
radio and TV stations announce cancellations. If a single program
is cancelled, you will be notified by phone. Please include your
daytime and evening phone numbers on the registration form.

Times and place
Check individual listings and your confirmation slip for registration
and workshop times. Be sure to allow yourself time to park and register.
Most workshops are held at the The Pyle Center, 702, Langdon St.,
UW-Madison campus. Check your registration confirmation slip for
the exact location. The Pyle Center is near Lake Mendota (the Center
overlooks the lake) and the historic Memorial Union, with two cafeterias,
a lakeshore terrace and a scenic jogging-bicycle path that winds
around the lake to Picnic Point.
Bicycle rentals, food, books, clothing and souvenirs are available
on State St - the six blocks of specialty stores and restaurants
that link the University and the State Capitol.

Fees
Program fees include instruction, printed program materials, Continuing
Education Units (CEUs), refreshments, and $20 non-refundable administrative
fee.

Parking
You receive parking information with your enrollment confirmation.
Day-long parking permits are available for enrollees on a first-come,
first-served basis. Parking ramps and surface lots are located within
a few blocks of the Pyle Center.

Credit types
National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)
The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Professional Development and
Applied Studies is recognized by the National Board for Certified
Counselors to offer continuing education for National Certified
Counselors. Provider #5990.
Continuing education units:
The continuing education unit (CEU) is a measure of participation
in continuing education programs. It is a nationally recognized
way of recording your participation in professional development.
Check individual listings for number of CEUs awarded for each program.
Many CEUs can be transferred to other educational institutions.
Transcripts of continuing education work completed with UW-Madison
or UW-Extension are available for $4.00 each. Write: Student Records,
Pyle Center, 702 Langdon St., Madison 53706. For more information,

Social Work Credit:
The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Professional Development and
Applied Studies (provider #1042) is approved as a provider for social
work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards
(800) 225-6880 through the Approved Continuing Education program.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Professional Development and
Applied Studies maintains responsibility for the program.
Continuing Legal Education Units (CLEUs):
Participating attorneys may be eligible for continuing education
legal units.
Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) accepts Continuing
Education Units (CEUs) offered by the University of Wisconsin campuses
as part of the activites included in Professional Development Plans
(PDPs).
