CreditsThe Eastern Conference offers the following continuing education options. Credit is awarded upon full day participation of the conference. Partial credits are not awarded; late arrivals or early departures preclude awarding CE credits. The Eastern Conference offers the following continuing education credit options:CEUs: The University of Wisconsin defines one (1.0) continuing education unit (CEU) as ten hours of participant effort in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction. The following Continuing Education Units/Hours are provided: March 26: 0.6 CEUs/6 CE hours Application has been made for National Association of Social Worker credits. Application has been made to American Psychological Association for credits (now approved). Play Therapy: The University of Wisconsin–Madison, Professional Development and Applied Studies is approved by the Association for Play Therapy to offer continuing education specific to play therapy. Our APT-approved provider number is 01-113. UW-Madison, Professional Development and Applied Studies maintains responsibility for the program. Sessions 1, 2, 14, 27, 32, 39, 44, & 48 are approved for play therapy hours. Professional Counselors: The University of Wisconsin–Madison, Professional Development and Applied Studies, is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. We adhere to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines. Sex Educators: Application has been made for CE's from the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). Other Professions: Contact your own board or organization for specific continuing education requirements.
