This audio lecture correspondence course is designed as an overview of the field of long-term care administration.
Newly revised and available on CD.This course is ideal for professionals in the field of long-term care, especially those wanting to take the NHA licensing exam.
The program consists of 12 hour-long lectures (CD), each accompanied by corresponding outlines, assignments and related reading materials. There is no time limit to complete the course so students may work at their own pace. You will mail assignments to Suzanna Castillo, at UW-Madison, where they will be reviewed and mailed back to you with her comments.
When all 12 sets of assignments are successfully completed, you will receive a letter and a certificate of completion from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We will also send an official letter to the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, Nursing Home Examining Board which will make you eligible to take the licensing exam. Prior to finishing the course, you should call the Licensing and Exam Board at 608-266-5511 ext. 11 to request an examination application packet. Students from states other than Wisconsin should check with their state's licensing board to find out if this course will also meet their requirements. How to register.
