What's new:

New! The Emergency Response and Recovery Conference helps local governments prepare for unforseen events. Held October 20-21, 2008.
The Midwest Conference on Child Sexual Abuse is scheduled for October 23-28, 2008. This national conference offers treatment and assessment workshops to professionals working in the sensitive field of child sexual abuse treatment.
The 2009 national FASD Conference will be held Friday, May 1- Saturday, May 2 in Madison, WI for providers, families, and comunities affected by FASD.

Examples of "partners" include: The Wisconsin Departments of Workforce Development, Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, and Health and Family Services; UW—Madison Departments of Curriculum and Instruction, Sociology, Clinical Genetics and the School of Social Work; private agencies such as Family and Sexual Abuse Treatment, Inc., Wisconsin Association of Mediators, and the Association of Family Conciliation Courts. Our department — Professional Development and Applied Studies — is a leader in Wisconsin for providing professional continuing education programs for adults. We offer over 400 continuing education programs annually including workshops, conferences, classes, and distance education. In addition, our faculty and staff provide consultation and conduct applied research. Through our award-winning continuing education programs we have reached a wide spectrum of health and human service providers, community leaders and policy makers, professional practitioners, paraprofessionals, volunteers, managers, and the public.
