Fall 2010 - A Pilgrimage to the East of England

 

Tapestry of medieval woman milking a cowPlans are underway for our 34th medieval studies pilgrimage scheduled for fall 2010. This year’s focus will be on the rich and exciting history, art and architecture of the East of England. The tentative itinerary includes visits to Canterbury, Dover Castle, Ightham Mote, Penshurst, Cobham, Cambridge, Ely, Peterborough, Longthorpe Tower, Lavenham, Norwich, Castle Acre, and Lincoln, with a few days in London.

This continuing education seminar is open to anyone interested in this history program and is not restricted to University of Wisconsin graduates or Wisconsin residents. Participants enjoy a wide variety of scheduled visits, tours, etc., but also have free time to pursue their individual interests. University credit can be arranged on request.
