Turn a fine vacation into an unforgettable experience....

December 24, 2009-January 3, 2010
Start planning now to spend Christmas and New Year's in the warm and exotic environments of Granada, Tangier, Fes, Gibraltar, and other exciting destinations.
Tour director: Antonio Noguera anoguera@dcs.wisc.edu or 608-262-5929.
This is a journey to the ancient lands of Spain, Morocco, and Portugal, bound by many centuries of history now reflected in their modern cultures. For eleven days, we will immerse ourselves in the varied influences of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism in these three lands of deep roots in tradition and faith. This trip is a unique learning experience that involves much more than watching passing scenery through a bus window and you will gain from it much more than a collection of photos and souvenirs.
You'll have nothing to worry about and nothing to plan on this professionally-coordinated excursion. Treasures we will experience include:
Stay in first-class hotels and relax comfortably: all breakfasts and dinners are included. Throughout your journey I accompany the group, using my background as a native of Spain to give you a "volume" of details about the history and culture of this area. And local English-speaking guides meet us at each destination.
Review the itinerary to learn more about all we will explore together. You'll gain knowledge by not only hearing lectures but by seeing sites significant to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

"I had a wonderful time on this trip. I liked the group and everything was so well-organized. It went very smoothly I also learned a lot about art and architecture. I also got to use my Spanish." ~ Taylor Koebert
"Was SO glad to have Sophia along. The hotel choices were good and the restaurants even better. Appreciated the “fixed price” of the trip. Other schools have been known to tack on tuition and fees after registration for the trip. Thank you for showing us your home!"
"Thanks Araceli and Antonio for a wonderful, magical trip. I learned so much – my appreciation of Picasso and especially the artists who influenced him. I hope you will consider another trip." ~ Mary Kidd
