Join us for a weekend of opera, dance, history, and art in one of America’s most popular destinations, Santa Fe, New Mexico! At the spectacular outdoor Santa Fe Opera House we will attend the Verdi comedic opera Falstaff and the classic tale of good vs. evil Billy Budd, adapted from Melville’s novel by Benjamin Britten. Our other two performances are new to the program and we are very excited to be attending an evening with the Santa Fe Desert Chorale as they perform "Glorious Voices. Sacred Spaces", and our last evening in town will be spent at the Institute of Spanish Arts for an evening of Flamenco Dance.

Your weekend begins by traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a group transfer to the historic Hotel St. Francis in downtown Santa Fe where you will be greeted by the staff with a welcome reception in the lobby. That evening we attend our first performance in the nearby Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis with the Santa Fe Desert Chorale.

Friday morning you can join an optional city tour and, that afternoon, you have a chance to spend some time over coffee with the other members of the group while enjoying a private pre-opera lecture with Ms. Desiree Mays of the Santa Fe Opera in the comfortable DeVargas Room of the hotel. Afterwards you will have private transportation to the Santa Fe Opera House for the opera Falstaff, by Giuseppe Verdi.
Saturday is unscheduled, but you probably won’t want to miss the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market on Museum Hill before re-joining the group for transportation out to the beautiful Santa Fe Opera House for the opera Billy Budd by Benjamin Britten.

Sunday is unscheduled until that evening’s performance so that you can craft your day in any manner that you wish. You may want to sign up for a day trip to one of the nearby National Monuments, take a train trip into the desert or while away the hours amongst the many galleries along Santa Fe’s legendary Canyon Road. At the end of the day you'll join the group for a ride out to the Institute of Spanish Arts and an evening of exhilarating Flamenco Dance!
Monday morning we will transfer you back to Albuquerque for your flight home.

In preparation for travel, participants will receive written materials about the performances that we will attend.
