Join the University of Wisconsin-Madison and ring in the New Year with old and new friends, while enjoying a schedule of activities laced with music, drama, ballet, comedy, fine arts and fun!
Our group will enjoy fascinating pre-performance lectures, wonderful seats and exquisite performances from some of the most accomplished artists on earth. We’ll attend performances by The Royal Ballet and The Royal Philharmonic, in addition to an evening at the National Theater and another on London’s glittering West End. Plus our traditional New Year’s Gala with the London Symphony Orchestra! Along with our outstanding itinerary of performances, group members will enjoy a guided museum visit, a fascinating walking tour, and several group meals with fellow travelers. Please join us for a wonderful week in London!
The beautiful, art deco Hotel Russell, on Russell Square, allows easy access to the British Museum and the British Library, both a casual 10-minute walk away, as well as all of the city's other historical, shopping and cultural offerings with it's proximity to bus and subway lines, which both run directly adjacent to the property.
With three group meals that allow you to get to know your travel companions on a more personal level, and plenty of free time during the days so you can explore the city on your own terms, this is an opportunity that you won't want to miss!
Make plans to join us now!
Quality accommodations are at the newly-renovated Hotel Russell situated near the British Museum and within convenient walking distance of the Underground, West End theaters, unique restaurants and shops. You may also choose to arrive early or stay longer at the group rate.
In preparation for travel, participants will receive reading materials about playwrights, composers, artists and acting companies as well as the London arts scene. There are several on-site seminars and backstage tours that enhance the enjoyment of the many performances.
