When and where is the 2007 WI High School Theatre Festival?
November 15, 16, and 17 at UW-Stevens Point.

How do I register?
You can obtain registration materials from either UW-Madison - Liberal Studies and the Arts by e-mailing smarty@dcs.wisc.edu or from the WI High School Forensics Association by emailing Chuck Malone at director@whsfa.org

Why should I attend if I am not bringing a one act?
The Theatre Festival is a unique opportunity to experience and practice Wisconsin high school theatre at its best! Students benefit by watching their peers perform during a weekend filled with one acts and showcase performances. In addition, there are over 40 workshops in technical theatre, acting and auditioning, stage combat, and dance offered by highly skilled and enthusiastic theatre professionals and educators. The Fesitval should not be missed!

What are the registration fees?

• Fees for 2007 will be announced in late September 2007.

How do I pay the fees and when are they due?
Fees are payable either by check or purchase order and due at the time of registration. There are no refunds. Due dates: Non WHSFA one act schools - Wednesday, November 2, Forensic Schools - Wednesday, November 8

How do I find information on lodging?
Lodging information is available through a pdf download.

What are the workshops about and why should I participate?
Besides the incredible selection of one act plays brought by schools from around the state, there are also theatre workshops taught by professional theatre practitioners and educators. Topics include Acting, Dancing, Auditioning, Technical Arts, Stage Combat, Musical Theatre and many, many more. These workshops are brought to you by UW-Madison and are open to everyone participating in the Festival. Check the Theatre Festival booklet for detailed information about the workshop series.

What are the Tech Olympics and how do I register?
Tech Olympics is a great way to test your technical skills in a fun and friendly competition with your peers. Everyone is invited to participate including actors, designers, technicians and theatre enthusiasts. Pre-registration is not necessary. On Friday morning, students register and attend the morning practice session.
