Selected advanced mathematics courses are offered under course number 699 as Directed Study. These advanced courses are dependent on the availability of instructors. Enrollment in directed-study courses will be approved only for students who have demonstrated their ability to succeed at this level of work. This ability can be demonstrated through performance in one of the intermediate courses (such as 319, 340, 441, 623) offered through Independent Learning, or through work at other universities with comparably demanding programs of study.
