History programs include:

  • Madison Area History Classes - These popular audiovisual lectures offer fascinating insight into historical periods and people. Our instructors create an enriching experience and often provide additional resources, such as a specialized reading lists, if you seek even more in depth knowledge. You will find descriptions of all current history classes in the UW-Madison continuing studies catalog. History classes are offered in fall and winter-spring.

  • Travel Study - History seminars abroad offer a unique and enriching European travel experience. Let us escort you through the history and culture of a selected region through a carefully selected itinerary.

  • Independent Learning - Enjoy the flexibility and convenience of studying at home. Correspondence courses provide an opportunity to learn at your own pace. Study Ancient, World, American and/or Wisconsin History and much more for noncredit or optional college credit. Some courses also available for high school credit.
