A variety of programs for every level. Beginners
enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of our noncredit classes, while experienced
students can continue learning at their level. Students value the
quality of our instruction and the practical knowledge they can apply
to their lives. Our dance, fitness, and movement classes serve the

Dance programs include:
- Madison Area Dance Classes - Dance
classes are offered for adults and teenagers at beginning, intermediate
and advanced levels. Explore our extensive offerings of world
dance classes (everything from
Middle Eastern to Irish!) in addition to traditional dance classes
such as Ballet and Tap. You will find descriptions of all current
dance classes in the UW-Madison Continuing
Studies catalog. Review frequently
asked questions about dance classes.
- Fitness and Movement Classes - Explore
yoga classes or Tai Chi for fitness.
Our Fitness/Movement programs offer a choice of recognized methods
and are always led by certified and experienced instructors. You
will find descriptions of all current fitness and movement classes
in the UW-Madison Continuing
Studies catalog.
- Dance guest artist series - This series of events and classes brings internationally acclaimed dance artists to Madison to share their knowledge of dance with the community. Dance guest artist events include master classes, dance technique workshops and free public lectures. The series provides opportunity, experience, and education for local dancers and dance enthusiasts of all levels. All events and classes are open to the public. - Dance
Education/Movement Explorations Dance - This web-enhanced
course is designed to demonstrate to teachers how dance can be
used in the curriculum and includes
practical dance materials which provide varied movement experiences
for students and teachers.
