The WRAP Award Winners
Claudia jo Christ 715-686-2158"World of Messenger Owls " - Pen and ink "I moved to the northwoods in 1990. The backyard wildlife and natural beauty of the area have been the inspiration for my illustrations. I started drawing a snowy owl with its glaring yellow eyes in a winter scene but it "snowballed" into an homage to Harry Potter's third movie "Prisoner of Azkaban". Hiding Hermione's small time turner under the owl's wing (with a bit of a snicker), started a weaving of 32 symbols from the movie. Pottermania had truly invaded my easel. I have enjoyed working on it even though I am merely a "muggle" (non-magic) :)"
