Mai Chao Duddeck lor.mai@students.uwlax.edu"Spirit Calling" - Intaglio print ""Spirit Calling" was inspired by spirituality and nature. I was taught at a very young age that everything on earth has its own spirit that resides closely with nature. Furthermore, color is an essential element in all of my artwork. I wanted to create a sensual and serene feel, so I used the primary colors. This intaglio plate provided opportunities for me to manipulate the colors while printing, and allowed me to create different moods. "Spirit Calling" is a representation of myself and the natural world."
