Exploring your interests: Using the Strong Interest Inventory
The Strong Interest Inventory (SII) gives you a way to factor your interests into educational and career decisions. It compares your interests with the interests of people happily employed in a variety of occupations. Take the SII and participate in small-group review of the results. Limited enrollment. Tools for career planning
If you’re in or on the verge of career transition, this limited-enrollment workshop gives you a jump-start. Explore your skills, values, interests, and style preferences using the Strong Interest Inventory (SII), Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and other individual/group exercises. You take the SII and MBTI beforehand and interpret the results in class. You leave with an action plan to keep your process moving. Some homework between sessions. Learn more/register.

Feel stuck in your career? UW-Madison can help you navigate a career change—from anywhere with a computer. Learn tools for inventorying your skills and interests, goal setting, decision making, and networking. Access course materials and interactive tools anytime; counselors available for “virtual office hours”:T, 8-8:30 pm and T, noon-12:30 pm (Central Time).
