Workshop description

If you’re in or on the verge of career transition, this workshop gives you a jump-start. Explore your skills, values, interests, and style preferences using the Strong Interest Inventory (SII), Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and other individual/group exercises. You take the SII and MBTI beforehand and interpret the results in class. You leave with an action plan to keep your career exploration process moving. Note: Some homework is assigned between sessions.

Who should attend?

Are you at a crossroads in your career? Hoping to discover what you want to be when you “grow up?” Want to do more intentional career planning? If you answered yes to any of these then this workshop is for you!

Benefits

After two intensive days you will leave with a:

  • better idea of the career planning process and how to determine what careers might be a good fit for you
  • working knowledge of excellent career exploration tools and how to access them
  • career plan for action

Follow-up appointments are available at no additional charge.

There will be some homework assigned the first day to be completed before the second day (should take about 1-2 hours maximum).

DAY 2

Panel of Career Changers – this panel of people who have made career changes provides insight on how to actually make the transition.
Discover Your Interests – Using the Strong Interest Inventory and other exercises you’ll take an in-depth look at your interests and how you might pursue them vocationally and avocationally.
Putting It All Together Puzzle – this exercise helps you see the big picture by combining your skills, personal preferences, values, and interests to help you brainstorm possible careers alternatives.
