Outstanding Undergraduate Returning Adult Student Awards

Recent Returning Adult Student award winners at UW-Madison

Nominations for the 2009 annual Dean of Student's Outstanding Undergraduate Returning Adult Student Awards will be accepted beginning in January 2009.

UW-Madison faculty, staff, students, or members of the community may submit nominations online to the Adult and Student Services Center at that time.

This award recognizes two returning adult undergraduate students whose exceptional determination and perseverance have enabled them to pursue their academic work and to contribute to the community by demonstrated leadership and service.

Nominee qualifications

  • currently enrolled as a senior undergraduate degree candidate who began or resumed university work after a significant interruption (usually 5 years) in their formal education
  • earning a first undergraduate degree, with a cumulative GPA which reflects academic success
  • anticipating graduation in May, August or December 2008
  • a NEW nominee for the award (not previously considered)
