Career Planning
Confused about your career direction? Still not sure what you want to be when you grow up? Think you’d like to try something new but not sure what it would be or how to start? The Adult and Student Services Center (ASSC) can help you move toward a more fulfilling career.
- The career development process—Find out more about creating a fulfilling career path.
- Individual career counseling appointments—At no charge, meet with a career counselor to discuss your career path, and what resources or assessments can help you.
- Assessments—We offer both formal and informal career planning assessments, which can help you explore your career options.
Career and education resource library
Find resources to explore the three basics: self-assessment, information gathering, and the job search. Resources include information on career planning, the job market, salaries, UW-Madison programs, financial aid, and more. You can use materials in-house or use a computer in the ASSC office to access online career resources.
Job search resources
Need help with your job search? ASSC facilitates the weekly Job Search Support Group and also has print resources to assist you with your job search. See Job Resources for links to the Job Search Support Group and other useful job search-related sites.
Career workshops
Throughout the year ASSC offers career and educational planning workshops on campus for a fee. Registration information is included with workshop descriptions.
