Workshop description

Interests are the best predictor of career satisfaction. In this workshop, we use the Strong Interest Inventory to clarify your true interests, helping you to better identify, understand, and expand your career options. This group review of the Strong provides a supportive environment for sharing of ideas and information as you make plans for a more fulfilling career.

If you are unsure about how to match your interests with the world of work then this workshop is for you.

After this workshop you will have a better idea of your interests and how they relate to careers and avocational pursuits. Several action steps presented in the Strong Interest Inventory results will help you know where to go next in your search for a new career.

About the facilitators

Connecting your interests and careers is facilitated by experienced, caring career counselors from the Adult and Student Services. We look forward to helping adults seeking a more fulfilling work life.

Location: 302 Wm Middleton Bldg, 1305 Linden Dr, Madison, WI (map)

Fees: $64 includes all materials

Registration deadline: Register by September 23, 2008 for Section 1, and by November 6, 2008 for section 2 to secure your place in the workshop.

Parking: Free parking available after 4:30 pm in Lot 20 (enter from University Ave).

Cancellation Policy: If the workshop is filled when we receive your registration we will put you on a waiting list. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop and return your payment if registrations are below minimum enrollment. After registration deadline dates, no refunds will be made for participant’s cancellation of registration. To cancel please contact Adult and Student Services at 608-263-6960 or assc@dcs.wisc.edu

Miscellaneous: Casual and comfortable dress is appropriate. Be prepared for fluctuating temperatures in the meeting room. A sweater or jacket may be desirable.
