Apply/enroll as a Senior Guest Auditor
Note: You must apply and then enroll to take a class as a Senior Guest auditor

Follow these steps to apply…
- Complete an application at least 3 weeks before a term
- Use this online application OR
- Print, complete and return the Senior Guest-Auditor application by mail or fax to Adult Career and Special Student Services.
TIP: Key application questions determine residency so please complete all sections.
- Watch for your:
- Confirmation email (w/in a day or 2 of applying) AND
- Letter of Admission which will arrive via U.S. mail within 2 weeks
- Invitation to Enroll via email from the Office of the Registrar
Enroll (after you receive your Letter of Admission)
Follow these steps to enroll in a class…
- Activate NetID (online UW Madison account) at MyUW
- This will also activate you wisc.edu email account.
- NOTE: if you are a UW employee, you should be able to access your “Student Center” through your existing MyUW account.
- For assistance with NetID and password call DoIT at 608-264-4357.
- Identify course when schedule is available
- Online: Schedule of Classes—Select relevant semester, then browse classes by department or school/college.
- Print copy: in the ASSC office
- Attend course and request instructor permission
- Complete Permission to Enroll form - found in your Letter of Admission or online.
- Obtain the instructor’s permission and signature on the form.
- Have the Permission to Enroll entered in the computerized enrollment system by department office
- Take signed Permission to Enroll form to main office of the academic department.
- Confirm with department when permission will expire.
- Verify 5-digit class number you will use in Step 5.
- Enroll in class
- Logon to MyUW.
- Enroll via "Student Center"—For enrollment help download pdf or call 608-263-6960.
- View Class Schedule/Grid in Student Center to verify you are properly enrolled.
Avoid $25 late enrollment fee by enrolling in your class by the enrollment deadline. Go to the Registrar's page and choose the "Deadlines at a Glance" link for the semester for which you are enrolling (links are found in shaded column on left of page).
