Youth Programs

UW-Madison is a great place for PreK-12 students to participate in fun and interesting programs in the spring, summer, and fall. Each year, more than 11,000 youth attend our academic and athletic programs. Benefits? Evaluations indicate these students strengthen academic abilities, learn about campus life, and meet new friends.

High School Students

Qualified high school juniors or seniors can choose one of two University special student programs to enroll in regular UW-Madison credit classes: the Traditional Program or the Youth Options Program. Both opportunities allow a student to carry one course each term while enrolled in high school, if you have exhausted your school curriculum in a particular subject and if your high school grade point is 3.000 or better.
