At this two-day workshop you learn and practice the principles of this art. Instructors: Kathy Germann, Vida Groman The art of conflict transformation: advancedThis is a follow-up to the two-day Art of Conflict Transformation (see above). You must complete the introductory course before attending this workshop. Instructors: Kathy Germann, Vida Groman Divorce mediation unit 1At this two-day workshop you learn the principles of the mediation process and the skills and techniques needed to help individuals resolve conflict cooperatively. Unit 1 covers basic mediation techniques, understanding conflict and diagnosing disputes, and developing conflict-resolution skills. Completion of units 1 and 2 meets the required 25 hours of mediation training for Wisconsin Act 355. You’re encouraged to take both units. Instructor: Ann L. Milne Divorce mediation unit 2At this two-day workshop you learn how to reframe issues, identify needs and interests, generate options, and reach agreement. Also review effects of power imbalances on the mediation process, explore professional conduct issues, and learn how to establish a mediation practice. Completion of units 1 and 2 meets the required 25 hours of mediation training for Wisconsin Act 355. You’re encouraged to take both units. Instructor: Ann L. Milne Mediation and domestic abuse: problems, policies and proceduresIn this workshop we examine the arguments for and against mediation in situations of domestic abuse. We also examine screening policies and procedures, as well as the special skills and techniques used by mediators in relationships involving domestic abuse. Instructor: Ann L. Milne Mediation techniques for managing conflictLearn basic techniques of mediation and how to more effectively resolve disputes of all types, work-related and personal. This workshop covers materials also covered in Divorce Mediation Unit 1. Attending both workshops is not recommended. Instructor: Ann L. Milne Negotiating win-win outcomes with difficult issues and peopleThis seminar teaches human service workers, school personnel, managers, supervisors, and others how to apply negotiating skills in personal and professional relationships. Discover techniques for creating win-win outcomes in various situations. Instructor: Ralph Cagle ONLINE Mediation techniques for managing conflict: introductory self-studyIn this online self-study course you explore the nature of conflict and basic mediation techniques to more effectively resolve disputes of all types, work-related and personal. You learn about interest-based negotiations as well. All course information and quizzes are contained on the course Web site.
