DMichael Daun (MPA, Cornell Univ.) is the deputy comptroller for the City of Milwaukee. Maggie Delaney-Potthoff performs throughout the U.S. and Europe with the highly acclaimed band Harmonious Wail. One of Madison’s finest jazz vocalists, she is also a private vocal coach and a recording artist. Sims Delaney-Potthoff studied with Jethro Burns and with Matt Glaser at Berklee College of Music. He sings, writes, and arranges for Harmonious Wail, which he founded in 1987. An award-winning composer, he has been named Madison’s Best Instrumentalist. Louisa Waller (BFA, Virginia Common- wealth Univ.) studied at the National Portrait Gallery, illustrated for colonial Williamsburg, designed carpets for the company that services the White House, and taught printmaking for Wisconsin Union Mini Courses. David Wargowski (MD) is a pediatrician at UW Hospital and a faculty member with the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. Nancy Welch (BA, Colorado State Univ.) owned and managed a graphic design firm for 28 years and continues to explore the playful side of art. Hank Whipple serves on the Wisconsin Historical Society’s board of curators and is active in the Society’s maritime preservation and archaeology program. He lectures and writes on Great Lakes history and other maritime topics. Douglas Whittle (MFA, Univ. of Florida) has led Continuing Studies educational tours to Egypt, Peru, Tanzania, Vietnam and Cambodia, and many other international destinations, as well as performing-arts and visual-arts travel experiences in North America. Georgiana Wilton is an associate scientist with the Dept. of Family Medicine whose research focuses on fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. Janet Wood (MA, UW-Madison) is an experienced instructor of Italian for adults and a lifelong Italophile who has lived, studied, and traveled throughout Italy. YZXiuping Zhu (MA in English linguistics) a native of China with 20 years of teaching experience, is a student in the World Language Education program, UW-Madison School of Education. She has taught Chinese at several schools in Madison and Verona.
