Cancellation policy

Case Management Certificate

A comprehensive approach to continuing education in case management is here. Based on the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Standards for Social Work Case Management, two Case Management Certificates—Introduction to Case Management and Advanced Case Management—have been developed by Suzanna Waters Castillo. Earn up to 45 hours of continuing education, enjoy one-on-one professional consultation, and receive current articles and an up-to-date bibliography on case management. Mental Health and Older Adult Certificate Program

This certificate program includes a Summer Institute and a wide range of seminars on such topics as anxiety and depression in later life, effective psychotherapy for older adults, creativity and dementia, and many others. To complete the certificate, attend the Institute and complete any six seminars in the next two years.

The Star Method of geriatric mental health I

In day one of the Wisconsin Star Method you learn the fundamental theory, principles, and practice of this geriatric mental-health assessment method. The method is uniquely adaptable to many different settings and enables professionals to meaningfully address daunting problems that affect the lives of older adults.

The color of emotions: culture specific geriatric mental health

In this one-day seminar we explore the DSM-IV’s glossary of culture-specific mental illness and examine the primary late-life mental disorders relative to culture-bound expression. We also apply the Wisconsin Star Method to enhance culture-specific approaches to treatment.
