Marketing

Continuing Studies offers a wide array of individual, departmental and institutional marketing support services for faculty and staff conducting credit and noncredit programs. The Marketing and Communications office markets not only the Division's lifelong-learning programs, but also those of schools/colleges across campus, and UW-Madison Summer Session.

Services

  • Marketing consultation and planning for credit and noncredit continuing education programs, services and activities, and Summer Sessions.
  • Writing and editing copy for, and designing, print and electronic materials and publications including brochures, flyers, postcards, Web pages, exhibits, the Continuing Education Catalog, and Summer Sessions.
  • Responding to phone and Web requests for information and publications; sharing information via exhibits and displays at community events.
  • Contacting media; writing press releases, feature articles, and news briefs for distribution through University Communications and other outlets.
  • Researching ad costs and media, and developing display ads.
  • Collecting and evaluating marketing data on promotional campaigns and Web site usage.
  • Developing and updating Web pages supporting campus-wide outreach clients. Coordinating, developing and maintaining Division Web pages.
  • Ordering and maintaining mail lists for selected program areas; mailing and coordinating distribution of print pieces for specific programs.

Creates marketing and publicity campaigns, prepares and oversees distribution plans for major catalogs, and contacts media. Performs data analysis. Edits division newsletter, Continuing Studies Today.

Responsible for coordinating division Web site, overseeing publications design and production, and managing day-to-day office activites and processes.
