Two Continents, Three Countries

Spain, Morocco, and Portugal
December 25, 2009 - January 3, 2010

This is a journey to the ancient lands of Spain, Morocco, and Portugal—two continents and three countries—bound by many centuries of the history now reflected in their modern cultures. For eleven days, we will immerse ourselves in the varied influences of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism in these three lands of deep roots in tradition and faith. This trip is a unique learning experience that involves much more than watching passing scenery through a bus window and you will gain from it much more than a collection of photos and souvenirs.

Join us for another wonderful weekend in our nation’s capitol for some of the world’s best performing arts and museums. Your activities include an evening with the National Symphony, a guided tour of the extraordinary National Museum of African Art, an educational seminar at the theater before your performance of Henry V by the Shakespeare Theater Company and one of America’s greatest musical achievements, the opera Porgy and Bess. School of the Arts at Rhinelander: Each summer more than 300 people come to northern Wisconsin for one week of intensive learning and creative activity in a supportive environment. The School of the Arts offers more than 55 workshops for adults, regardless of experience level, in visual art, arts management, creative writing, computer art, music, photography, theatre and drama, movement, and relaxation.
