Professor Nelson coordinates
non-credit art
classes in the Madison area for adults, children and teens on weekends and
evenings. She is the Director of the Wisconsin
Regional Art Program which provides exhibits and workshop sites for nonprofessional
artists throughout Wisconsin.
She teaches graduate seminars on women artists, assemblage and collage, art and spirit, content and meaning, and professional practices for the art department of the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
Professor Nelson makes reconstructed quilts, art dolls, and large-scale installations.
