Sage Goellner (Phd, UW-Madison) is a French instructor and world languages coordinator in the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Division of Continuing Studies. She directs the independent learning programs in French, Italian and German.
Sage has spent much time living, studying, and working in French-speaking countries. In high school, she spent several summers in France, living in Paris and Corsica. As an undergraduate, she lived in the UW-Madison’s Maison Française and spent a semester in Paris. During graduate school, she studied at the Université de Laval in Quebec, attended Bryn Mawr’s Institute in Avignon and taught English at the University of Paris-Nanterre for a year.
Sage is a member of the American Association of French Teachers and the Modern Languages Association. Her publications on French and Francophone literature have appeared in Equinoxes and The French Review, and she has presented at several national and international conferences.
The Department of Liberal Studies & the Arts is a part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Continuing Studies. The units within Continuing Studies provide continuing education programs for lifelong learners, from precollege to seniors, as well as counseling services for adult learners.
