What art supplies are required?

A recommended list of supplies will be sent to you with your registration confirmation.  Your teacher's phone number is listed in case you have questions about the supply list.  Don't hesitate to call your teacher to ask which supplies are needed for the first class.  The art supply lists are also sent to the University Book Store art supplies section, the Wisconsin Craft Market on Zeier Rd, the Artist & Craftsman Supply on Broom Street.  The staff at those art supply stores can help you find what you will need.

Can I store my supplies?

Yes, if your class is held in the Humanities Building, as most of our classes are. If you bring a combination lock and find an empty locker you may use it to store your art supplies.  At the end of each semester they will clear out all the lockers so DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING IN THEM  when your class is over. We're sorry, but you will not be able to store supplies for classes held at other buildings.

Do I need previous art training to take these classes?

No. Most classes are geared for the beginner or those with some art experience. The instructors are used to giving each student the individual attention that they need. A few classes are for those with more experience. They will be identified in the title and in the course description as intermediate.

How do I withdraw from a class?

For limited-registration programs, 80 percent of the fee is refunded if registration receives your withdrawal 48 hours before the program begins. For multi-week programs, 80 percent is refunded if the registration office receives your notice before the second meeting; no refund is made after that. The phone number for the registration office is 608-262-2451.
