June 2006

Present: Katy Duren, Christina Finet, Moira Kelley, Miranda McClenaghan, Antonio Noguera, and Martin Rouse.

  • Departments Updates:
    Osher applications - 58 have been received to date; 45 of those are viable.
    Katia is working on an online career workshop, and Amanda on an online intro to new adult students.
    Reminder that free University Summer Forums are coming up.

  • Non-secured CASI Web site?
    DIscussion of whether or not to have on open Web site, or only accessible to staff via password.

  • CASI opportunity to identify academic staff for award/acknowledgment:
    Christina reported that outcome of discussion with MaC office about assisting with nomination materials for academic staff awards was that they were willing to help with division nominations on request.

  • University personnel file policy
    We discussed where official personnel files were located, the process for review or getting information about what was in them. No one seemed clear on the answers.

    We agreed to skip the July meeting.
